Essential Idea Ltd. (EI) provides consulting and other services to progressive social service organizations for strategic plannning, fund raising, administrative development and communications activities.

With funding provided by The Henry and Ruth Goodman Fund for Social and Ecological Justice, EI is able to provide support to organizations that could not previously afford such services.

In many instances EI works along with organizations as they go though these important capacity-building activites that will help them become self-sufficient and more effective in achieving their objectives..

EIs key staff have worked for over 100 large multi-nationals and government agencies in every medium imaginable producing sophisticated media products including feature length documentaries in radio and television, election campaigns, and full scale advertising and public relations campaigns. In addition they have performed in key roles in running medium and substantial sized businesses.
